Welcome to Positive Heart Living

Positive Heart Living places an emphasis on educating people about the risk factors associated with heart disease and how these risk factors are related to a healthy, balanced lifestyle. Positive Heart Living is working towards reducing the risk of heart disease and promoting improved quality of life through program development and training about positive lifestyle choices to all age levels.

Positive Heart Living Inc., is a non profit organization, with a goal of improving the quality of life of all New Brunswickers. The main target are individuals living in lower socio-economic conditions, where the risk factors of heart disease cluster. The organization will continue to promote programs to raise awareness of positive lifestyle choices for improved health.

Positive Heart Living is kicking off the month with a number of “healthy” educational presentations. Children from Reene’s Home Daycare in Marysville, operated by Maureen DeLucry participated this week. Nancy and the Nutrition Tree story was read to the children, who also received information about keeping their heart healthy from Dr. Bonnie Priest. Children are shown with two posters they colored, which promoted the importance of a healthy breakfast and including fruits and vegetables as good food choices.
